Job description

This role gives you hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept and specification to design, validation, production support, and end-of-life, building strong foundations in hardware engineering with mentorship and a clear path to technical leadership.

As a key team member, you'll:

  • Collaborate with Product Management to define product/design specifications
  • Lead design and validation for product updates
  • Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer
  • Develop and run test plans for prototypes and final products
  • Perform hardware debugging with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analysers)
  • Work cross-functionally with software, mechanical, test, NPI, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration and project delivery
  • Create and maintain technical and product documentation
  • Support products through their entire lifecycle, including production and sales/customer queries
  • Participate in training, seminars, trade shows, and quality audits for ongoing development

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related electronics discipline
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium preferred)
  • Hands-on familiarity with lab/test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., university projects or placements)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively
