Job description

OverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded tech company that is pioneering high performance computing for the cryptography industry. The next stage of their evolution is to build their IaaS products/services, so they are looking to hire a Principal Cloud Software Engineer to provide the expertise to help them achieve their goals.Your role will be to take end-to-end ownership of their cloud infrastructure - architect, develop & implement AWS and GCP cloud services using IaC (Terraform, Kubernetes/Helm). You will work within the SW Engineering Team to help define & build a solution enabling their customers to use their cryptographic technology in the cloud and their internally hosted fog infrastructure. These solutions include deploying blockchain networks.ResponsibilitiesTake end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure - architect, develop & implement AWS and GCP cloud services using IaC (Terraform, Kubernetes/Helm).Work within the Software Engineering Team to

Requirements

define & build a solution enabling customers to use cryptographic technology in the cloud and the internally hosted fog infrastructure, including deploying blockchain networks.QualificationsA strong track record of designing and implementing production-grade, scalable cloud systems.Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and GKE.Solid experience with Kubernetes and Helm.Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.Building secure systems suitable for real customer workloads.Ability to identify and fix performance and reliability bottlenecks.Setting up automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.Implementing monitoring and alerting so issues are found early.The ability to communicate clearly with both technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders.Highly desirableExposure to blockchain or distributed systems.Experience using hardware accelerators in AWS.Working knowledge of Python.Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools.Experience building dashboards or operational metrics.Knowledge of cryptography and/or Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).LocationThis is a hybrid role, to be based out of their Bristol office.BenefitsThis is a great opportunity for you to be part of a growing company and to take a lead role in the development and expansion of their products and services.
