Job description

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications across multiple environments, including Development, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery. The role also requires coordinating with database administrators, IT support teams, and other development groups to ensure systems are stable, performant, and compliant with change management procedures., * Develop and maintain business applications using C# and the .NET platform

  • Design and implement solutions based on business requirements
  • Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases, including writing T-SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data analysis
  • Perform unit testing, quality assurance, and deployment across multiple environments
  • Support existing C# and .NET applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Collaborate with IT support, network, and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability
  • Follow development team policies, procedures, and change management controls for production updates
  • Assist with version updates of MS .NET Framework and MS Visual .NET platform
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for system maintenance or incidents
  • Communicate effectively with local and international support teams to resolve issues

Requirements

We are recruiting a C# .NET Developer (AVP level) to join a development team in London. This role involves the development and support of enterprise business applications using the Microsoft .NET platform with C#, supporting both new projects and existing systems. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with IT support, database teams, and business stakeholders., * Proven experience in C# and .NET development

  • Experience with Windows application development
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • Experience with unit testing, QA, and deployment processes
  • Ability to analyse code and designs critically and provide constructive feedback
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams across locations

Desirable

  • Experience with web application development
  • Exposure to Agile delivery and DevOps processes
  • Knowledge of IIS configuration and network setup
  • Experience in CI/CD or automation tools

Benefits & conditions

This is a 6-month contract paying £415 per day, inside IR35, via an umbrella company. The role is London-based with 3 days per week onsite.
