Job description
As a Lead Information Support Administrator, you'll support the delivery of information management services up to and including Secret classification for AirCySC and its supported stations. You will help users across multiple aviation environments make the best possible use of digital tools, information systems and SharePoint-based workflows - ensuring operational, training and business activities run smoothly and securely.
Day-to-day, you'll be:
- Supporting AirCySC and supported units with the use of digital applications and routine information-management activities.
- Acting as the point of contact for resolving information-management issues that impact operations or training.
- Promoting best practice by advising staff on policies, protocols, and compliant use of information systems.
- Setting up and managing SharePoint team sites, including permissions, structure, and business-process tools.
- Guiding teams on secure storage and transmission of information, including personal data under the Data Protection Act.
This role is full time, working 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00-16:30, and Friday, 8:00-15:30, with some flexibility around start and finish times.
Requirements
- Experience leading or managing a small team
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10.
- Proficient user of Outlook, Excel and Office 365 applications.
- Experience administering SharePoint team sites.
- Web publishing and SharePoint content experience.
Qualifications for the Lead Information Support Administrator:
Maths & English GCSE (Grade C or above).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
