GDIT has an exciting opportunity to support the Security Assistance Group - Ukraine (SAG-U) as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa's (USAREUR-AF) mission in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The Network Administrator is a member of the J63 Network Operations (NetOps) team responsible for sustaining day-to-day network operations across SAG-U enclaves. This role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure and services, executing approved configuration changes, and supporting operational readiness for mission users. The Network Administrator works closely with Systems, Cybersecurity, and Service Desk teams to ensure secure, reliable, and supportable network services.

As a Network Administrator at GDIT, you will directly enable mission communications by keeping critical network services available, secure, and recoverable. Your work supports operational tempo by reducing outages, improving mean time to restore service, and ensuring network changes are implemented through disciplined governance.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Operate and maintain network infrastructure (routing, switching, network services, and supporting components) across multiple enclaves.
- Monitor network health, respond to incidents, and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network degradation or outages.
- Implement approved network changes in accordance with Change Management and CAB processes, including documenting implementation results and closure evidence.
- Perform routine network device administration: configuration backups, IOS or firmware updates, port provisioning, VLAN changes, interface troubleshooting, and standardized configuration enforcement.
- Maintain network documentation including device inventories, port maps, rack layouts, cable management updates, and as-built diagrams sufficient for sustainment and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity personnel to support secure configurations, traffic reviews, anomaly response, and basic compliance support (for example STIG-aligned settings and evidence collection when directed).
- Support VoIP/VTC network connectivity troubleshooting and collaborate with stakeholders to restore service quickly during events or VIP mission requirements.
- Coordinate with external organizations (NEC, DISA, partners, vendors as applicable) to resolve issues impacting mission connectivity and service delivery.
- Assist with procurement and sustainment support as required (initial bills of material inputs, tracking replacements, and validating received equipment against needs).
- Participate in on-call or after-hours support during maintenance windows, outages, or mission surges (including occasional weekend or holiday coverage)., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) | Cisco - Cisco Travel Required Less than 10% Citizenship U.S. Citizenship Required
Requirements
Do you have experience in VoIP?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience, Associate's with 4 years, or Bachelor's with 2 years of relevant experience
- Technical Skills:
- Experience administering routed and switched networks in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with Cisco switching and routing administration (IOS navigation, interface and VLAN configuration, troubleshooting).
- Working understanding of network fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS dependencies, and common troubleshooting workflows.
- Experience performing cable management and routine network cabinet maintenance.
- Ability to follow governance and documentation standards, including producing clear updates for tickets, change records, and as-built documentation.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, escalate appropriately, and maintain operational discipline under time pressure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position may require occasional physical activity such as lifting equipment, bending/crouching to troubleshoot, and extended periods of sitting.
- Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written communication and diagramming skills
- Ability to draft planning documents, architectural justifications, and risk mitigation recommendations
- Experience working in collaborative IPT environments
- Familiarity with RMF processes and cyber input to network design
CERTIFICATIONS

Required: IAT Level II (e.g. Security+ CE), Cisco CCNA

Preferred: CCNP, ITIL v4, * Experience in multi-enclave or multi-tenant environments requiring high availability.

Familiarity with TACLANE or COMSEC-adjacent coordination activities (configuration support, maintenance troubleshooting, operational checks) under proper oversight.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
