We are currently looking for a Network Software Engineer (NetSWE) in India.This role offers the opportunity to build the software and automation tools that make network operations safe, scalable, and highly reliable across multiple data centers. You will work at the intersection of network engineering and cloud platform infrastructure, developing services that streamline provisioning, configuration, and operational verification. The position emphasizes ownership, coding, and the creation of robust automation, CI/CD workflows, and observability systems. You will collaborate closely with network engineers and SREs to address operational challenges and transform them into production-quality solutions. - Design, build, and maintain automation tools and services for network lifecycle management, including provisioning, configuration changes, drift detection, and operational verification
- Implement safe network change workflows with CI/CD pipelines, staged rollouts, diff/review tools, and audit trails
- Develop observability platforms to monitor network performance, telemetry pipelines, and incident resolution processes across multiple sites
- Integrate network source-of-truth data with platform systems and expose reliable APIs for automation
- Collaborate with network engineers and site reliability engineers to convert operational challenges into scalable software solutions
- Contribute to open-source or internal tooling that improves network operations and cloud platform efficiency
Requirements
Requirements:5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical backgroundStrong coding skills and ownership mindset with the ability to ship and operate reliable servicesProficiency in Go or willingness to switch; Python skills are also welcomeInterest in networking and infrastructure, with a demonstrated ability to learn quicklyExperience with automation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, or similar operational toolingStrong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Background in networking (e.g., CCNP, data center networking exposure) or hands-on interest in networking technologiesExperience with low-level networking/datapath technologies such as eBPF/XDP, DPDK, or kernel networkingExperience designing high-load services and observability platforms including metrics, logging, tracing, and alertingContributions to open-source projects or experience extending/debugging OSS components in productionBenefits:Competitive salary
