Job description

Futures recruitment are working with a well-established electrical engineering business to recruit an experienced Test Engineer to join their technical team. This is a hands-on role combining in-house testing with occasional site-based work.

Role & Responsibilities:

Perform detailed fault-finding, repair and troubleshooting activities Complete protection modifications in line with technical specifications Support on-site testing and commissioning activities when required Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and internal quality standards Carry out in-house testing of marshalling enclosures, control panels, LV cabinets and associated control devices Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and complete relevant risk assessments Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' testing experience within an electrical engineering environment Relevant electrical qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and industry standards Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings confidently Clear understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities Methodical approach with strong attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Flexible team player, willing to support other departments when required Experience working within a continuous improvement environment (desirable)
