Requirements

An Azure Platform Engineer who can successfully integrate a mobile application with a Kubernetes-based backend needs a blend of cloud architecture depth, DevOps maturity, and application-integration awareness. Someone who can bridge mobile-app needs with cloud-native infrastructure in a secure, scalable way.

Core Technical Attributes
Azure Cloud Expertise
Strong command of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Experience with Azure API Management for exposing backend services to mobile apps
Familiarity with Azure Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, and other integration services
Understanding of Azure networking: VNets, private endpoints, Application Gateway, WAF, load balancers
Knowledge of Azure Identity (Azure AD, Managed Identities, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
Kubernetes & Containerization
Proficiency with containerization (Docker)
Ability to design and operate production-grade AKS clusters
Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or other deployment templating tools
Understanding of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Azure-native Open Service Mesh)
Observability stack experience: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor
