At G+D Mobile Security, the world leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM / eSIM, we are looking for an Application Engineer: This is a hands-on engineering role in an international team responsible for deployment and administration of Java applications developed in-house. You will collaborate closely with the developers and with colleagues from IT Infrastructure and Customer Support. Responsibilities:
- Install, integrate, and troubleshoot Java-based applications hosted at G+D Datacenters and Cloud environments for market-leading customers.
- Operate web servers, proxy servers, and Java applications in a Linux-based environment, including the management of digital certificates and keys.
- Analyze and resolve incidents related to Java applications, in compliance with the service level agreements and service processes based on the ITIL framework.
- Implement, test, and document new customer solutions in close coordination with project management and other internal teams.
- Maintain and enhance our monitoring, logging, and event management systems.
- Automate regular operational support tasks and system deployments using scripts and Ansible.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tomcat?, * Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent qualification.
- Experienced in managing Web Servers, Apache, Tomcat, and Java Applications in a Linux based environment.
- Basic knowledge on container orchestration, such as Kubernetes (Open Source and OpenShift) and/or Amazon ECS.
- Understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and ideally Ansible experience for automation and tooling.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum teamwork.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
