AWS Cloud Engineer

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
• Manage core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS (Aurora MySQL), VPC and Lambda
• Implement infrastructure automation and support CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Monitor system performance using CloudWatch and optimise resource utilisation and cost
• Lead on IAM management and cloud security best practices
• Support potential cloud-to-cloud or infrastructure migration initiatives
• Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and enterprise client requirements
• Act as the primary cloud and DevOps specialist within the technology team

This is a hands-on role suited to someone senior enough to work independently, drive improvements, and take full responsibility for the design, security, optimisation, and ongoing management of the cloud estate., * 5+ years' experience managing AWS cloud environments

• Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure knowledge with the ability to operate autonomously
• Experience with automation and CI/CD (Azure DevOps knowledge beneficial)
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, ideally including exposure to CSA CCM and OWASP best practices
• Experience working within Windows environments (IIS via AWS AMIs)
• Database management and optimisation experience (Aurora RDS / MySQL preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting or delivering cloud migration projects is highly desirable
• Insurance or InsurTech experience is advantageous but not essential
