Job description
This working student role in the Gas Services Solution Integration team supports business continuity by improving and standardizing proactive diagnostic reporting. The position focuses on developing automated diagnostic reports and documenting standardized processes. It may serve as the foundation for a Master's thesis. Ideal candidates are engineering or data-science students with strong analytical abilities, data skills, and the capacity to work independently on technical tasks. How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyze operational data from gas and steam power plants to detect trends, condition changes, and anomalies for proactive diagnostics
- Develop and refine automated scripts and reporting tools to generate diagnostic insights
- Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations to clearly present diagnostic results to engineering teams
- Work with senior engineers to verify the accuracy, quality, and relevance of diagnostic outputs
- Document methodologies, algorithms, and workflows, and create standardized templates and guidelines for consistent reporting
- Support tool integration and compile project documentation, including materials suitable for a potential Master's thesis
Requirements
- Current studies in the field of a technical degree program such as Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Beneficial prior experience through internships, student jobs, or academic projects
- Data-related technical skills, including data analysis/modeling, programming (Python, R, MATLAB), data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and SQL
- Knowledge of statistical methods and diagnostic techniques as well as solid engineering fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within technical teams
