Platinum Unix System Engineer

Als Unix-Systemingenieur im Platinum UNIX Support Team wirst du Unix-Support für unseren globalen Bestand bereitstellen. Dies umfasst den operativen Support, die Systemwartung (Patching) sowie Automatisierung (Skripting). Zudem wirst du Hardware von HP und Oracle ExaData unterstützen., * Arbeit in einem globalen Team im Follow-the-Sun-Modell

• Unterstützung unseres globalen Systembestands, einschließlich Wochenend- und gelegentlicher Arbeit außerhalb der regulären Arbeitszeiten
• Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Infrastrukturteams zur Lösung technischer Probleme
• Enge Abstimmung mit unserem Engineering-Team sowie mit externen Anbietern
• Schnittstelle zu IT- und Business-Stakeholdern auf allen Ebenen der Organisation
• Mitarbeit an einem unserer Platinum-Projekte und -Initiativen

Ihre Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen

• Umfangreiche Erfahrung mit Linux (OEL und RHEL)
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in TCP/IP-Networking, fortgeschrittener Systemoptimierung, Netzwerktopologie und Umgebungen mit Firewalls
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Systemadministration, einschließlich Upgrades, Patching und Konfigurationsmanagement, Performance-Management, Troubleshooting, Analyse und Kapazitätsplanung
• Umfassendes Verständnis der Prinzipien von Routing, Client-/Server-Programmierung, der Gestaltung konsistenter dateisystemweiter Netzwerkstrukturen, Ethernet, Bonding und PCIe-Technologien
• Erfahrung in einer Skript- oder Programmiersprache

As a Unix system engineer of the Platinum UNIX Support Team, you will provide Unix support for our global estate. This includes operational support, system maintenance (patching) and automation (scripting). You will support hardware from HP and Oracle ExaData.
