Security Solutions Architect

The Security Solution Architect partners closely with the sales team to design and deliver security driven solutions that accelerate customer success and revenue growth. This role translates complex business requirements into scalable architectures leveraging key IBM Z security principles, architectures and policies. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the architect guides customers, across EMEA, through solution options, leads discovery workshops, and develops compelling technical narratives that support sales strategies. They ensure solution feasibility, optimise performance, and align designs with best practices. Working cross functionally with engineering, product, and sales leadership, the architect helps shape account strategy and drives adoption of innovative security orientated solutions that meet customer needs and drive solutions that accelerate customer success and revenue growth. Master the Rocket security portfolio from a sales and technical standpoint to build confidence in prospects, so that the journey from initial engagement to implementation is clear and in line with business priorities.

Act as subject matter expert to demonstrate how Rocket solutions impact risk and compliance on EMEA/Global security regulations.

Lead projects both conceptually and technically through hands-on product expertise.

Act as strategical advisor to key accounts running large enterprise mainframe environments.

Develop and influence customer security strategy based on extensive industry and technical experience to position Rocket Software as preferred vendor.

Lead cross-functional teams and drive large transformational initiatives alongside key strategical customers.

Do you have a Master's degree?, Extensive experience (15+ years) managing security controls through RACF, ACF2, Top Secret.

Led modernisation initiatives integrating mainframe security with hybrid/multi-cloud and zero-trust architectures.

Ownership & successful implementation of security roadmap and new technology adoption into a mainframe environment, within banking, financial services, insurance or similar industry.

Proven track record of extensive, successful projects in a technical pre-sales remit for top global banks, financial services institutions or similar industry.

Extensive background in security policies, encryption standards, encryption, privileged access management and vulnerability management in an IBMZ environment.

Lead and developed strategies for risk assessments, security reviews, and ESM conversions for mainframe assets.
