Job description

Stream is a well funded startup with offices in Amsterdam and Boulder. We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our development team in Amsterdam. Your responsibilities include: maintain our infrastructure on AWS and Digital Ocean; develop automation tools to provision and deploy new systems; work with distributed databases like Cassandra and Elastic Search.

We run a very complex stack with 10+ services and 20+ servers.
We are going to work at the core of our product.
Work with distributed databases, low latency APIs and high availability deployments are our daily problems :)

Responsibilities

Maintain and expand our infrastructure.
Develop automation systems (CI, deployments , provisioning...)
Work closely with our team of data scientists.

Requirements

Experience with Puppet/Chef/Ansible or similar software
AWS experience, including but not limited to EC2, Cloudformation, S3, auto scale, ELB
Experience with Kernel and network based tuning for performance and stability
Experience with scripting in Bash and Python highly preferred
Systems knowledge within the Linux ecosystem
Experience with Nginx webserver technologies
Grasp of fundamental networking principles, specifically TCP/IP
