Backend Developer (Ruby)

• Good grasp of the Ruby language, its libraries and runtime
• Experience with Git, and making it a core part of your workflow
• Experience building web applications with the Ruby on Rails framework
• Experience with integration and unit testing, CI
• Strong understanding of HTTP and REST concepts
• Strong understanding of best practices when developing web applications
• Good Linux chops, ability to figure things out by yourself
• Some experience deploying applications AWS, Heroku or similar PaaS

Besides these requirements, we're also giving preference to people with the following:

• An active Github or Bitbucket account with active projects, or contributions to other projects
• Solid grasp of the Javascript language
• Some experience with Nodejs
