Senior back-end developer

Keeping our literacy analytics running smoothly is extremely important, and requires a unique mix of software development and systems administration expertise. As a Back-end Expert at Leeruniek you will primarily be involved in application development, but will also participate in managing, monitoring and improving the overall IT infrastructure.

Tasks

• As part of the core tech team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the core analytics software, the REST services for front end app's, the implementation of workflow-processes.
• In cooperation with our architect, domain and data-metrics specialists, you will design and implement the software and algorithms to import and analyze the data-streams
• Design, build, monitor (reliability, performance) and maintain the platform upon which all Leeruniek applications run

• Development expertise in Phyton and Django
• Good knowledge of (distributed) NoSQL solutions (Cassandra, Hadoop) and familiarity with of MySQL
• Knowledge of Scala, Nginx and Linux shell programming is a pre
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
• Degree in Computer Science or other technical field preferred
• Experience with Git, Continuous Integration, build (Maven) and test tools tools is a pre
