Job description

SCS IT Team is responsible for managing cloud-based services and on-site facilities for about 2000 users.

Our services are SaaS by Construction related solution providers, and our effort is towards insuring business requirements and service levels are met.

We are looking at onboarding a Data Analyst mainly to cope with increasing PowerBI analytics and reporting demand.

The role is part of the Digital Data Team.

Role Responsibility

  • Monitor and audit data quality
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
  • Gather, understand and document detailed requirements and interface contracts using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business
  • Educate and support business users with their reporting needs
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
  • Create dashboards, graphs and visualizations
  • Provide sector and competitor benchmarking
  • Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool
  • Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project., HS2 - working with Skanska, Costain and STRABAG, closely monitors job applications, to ensure an inclusive recruitment process. Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the development of reports and dashboards to a diverse set of stakeholders in a fast paced environment
  • Highly skilled in mainstream BI tools (including but not limited to Power BI)
  • Understand and promote data quality
  • Knowledge or experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL)
  • Knowledge with Azure integration services, * A physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term effect (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated in your application and pre-interview stage that you meet the minimum job criteria and person specification for the role

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
