Job description

'We are seeking a dedicated 1st Line Support Engineer to join our team at Our Head Office based in Queensferry. This role is vital in providing technical assistance and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems. Join us to contribute to our mission of delivering reliable telecommunications and security services.' 'Responsibilities' As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing friendly, professional and effective technical support. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service background, a passion for technology, and the drive to learn and grow within a fast moving technical team.

Full training on our systems will be provided - we're looking for a can do attitude, great communication skills, and commitment over existing technical certifications. This role is a great opportunity to develop a passion for technology into a future career, learning on the job and using your customer service experience to build and grow.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handling inbound support calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.
  • Logging, managing and progressing support tickets through our CRM.
  • Keeping customers updated throughout the lifecycle of each case.
  • Completing routine maintenance tasks such as updates, checks and basic configurations.
  • Assisting with remote and occasional onsite support for IT, telephony and network equipment.
  • Following SLAs, escalation procedures and internal processes.
  • Maintaining accurate equipment and customer records.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
  • Contributing positively to a collaborative, solutions focused team.
  • Part of the Out Of Hours call rota.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Phone etiquette?, * Strong customer service experience (face to face, phone-based or service environment).

  • Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner.
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
  • Passion for technology, problemsolving and personal development.
