Responsibilities
Design, test and document new technologies, features, and solutions for repeatability and support by the Implementations team and Network Operations Center.
Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers and Product Marketing to translate customer requirements into scalable, consistent, and supportable technical solutions.
Evaluate platforms and solutions with existing and new vendors for inclusion in TNS's product suite.
Provide third-level support to the Network Operations Center staff and Implementations teams.
Develop and maintain detailed lab test plans, reports, procedures, and configuration documentation; provide training to operations and engineering teams.
Interact with vendors to resolve problems, bugs, and troubleshoot configuration issues.
Essential Skills
Architecture and provisioning of MPLS or SD-WAN environments.
Hands-on design and configuration of Fortinet FortiGate devices within SD-WAN
Requirements
topologies.
Network automation and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, JSON, Nautobot, Arista Cloudvision, Cisco DNA Center.
IPSec (including DMVPN and RRI) design, configuration, operation and troubleshooting.
Designing cloud-based architectures in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
IP Multicast design, configuration, operation and troubleshooting.
Network design based on high-level customer requirements.
Extensive TCP/IP and routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, PIM, BFD).
Customer Edge features such as NAT, VRRP/HSRP.
Comprehensive documentation creation and maintenance.
Expert troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Vendor product evaluation (hardware, software, service provider).
Broadband service deployments (xDSL, Cable).
Planning and coordinating network maintenance and installation windows.
Hardworking, focused, thorough, and punctual.
Clear written and verbal presentation skills to peers and management.
Support for Tier-1 and Tier-2 environments.
Self-motivated with minimal instruction; collaborative.
Flexibility for on-call support as required.
Desirable Skills
Fortinet, Cisco, and/or Juniper certifications (NSE levels 4-7, CCIE/CCNP-SP, JNCIE, JNCIP).
AAA, Tacacs+, Radius, CA/PKI.
Voice over IP, Dial Services, wireless services, F5 load-balancing.
Data center design (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper).
Server load-balancing on F5, Netscaler, AWS ALB/SLB.
GIT, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools, Agile practices.
CloudFormation template creation and deployment.
Automation with Python, Ansible, vendor-specific tools.
Firewall configuration (PIX/ASA, IOS, JunOS).
AWS/GCP/Azure architecture automation.
NSX-V/NSX-T networking automation.
OpenStack networking automation.
UNIX/Linux experience.
Compensation & BenefitsFor this U.S. role, compensation is $140,000-$180,000 annually, with variable pay and bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
