Job description

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Dedibox Compute Foundation team to modernize and scale our legacy backend systems while ensuring production excellence. Your mission will be to maintain and progressively evolve our legacy Dedibox Symfony application toward more modular and service-oriented architectures in order to improve performance, resilience, and long-term scalability in a critical production environment. YOUR FUTURE TEAM We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 6 DevOps Engineers, working alongside 1 Engineering Manager, a dedicated Product team, and a dedicated SRE team. The team operates in an agile setup with strong technical autonomy and is responsible for internally built applications running in a high-volume, production-critical cloud provider environment. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams such as hardware, support, billing, and infrastructure. The team recently welcomed new members and reorganized into a tribe structure to support upcoming modernization challenges. YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

  • Develop and maintain backend features using Symfony (PHP 7+)
  • Ensure application maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) in production
  • Debug and resolve production incidents in high-availability environments
  • Contribute to the progressive modernization of a legacy monolith toward modular/microservices architectures
  • Improve application performance and resilience
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce best backend practices
  • Manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
  • Work with Docker and DevOps tooling in distributed environments
  • Collaborate closely with SRE, hardware, support, and billing teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Symfony?, * Minimum 5+ years of backend experience with significant production experience in Symfony

  • Strong expertise in PHP 7+ and Symfony in critical production environments
  • Solid experience maintaining and evolving legacy applications
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab CI)
  • Good knowledge of distributed systems and Linux server environments
