Backend Software Engineer Python FastAPI SQL

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop data centric backend services for the core platform with a focus on Python coding and building FastAPIs within an Azure environment with Databricks. You'll participate in the design and implementation of advanced mechanisms for data ingestion, transformation, mass parallel orchestration of network IO and will model data for a variety of purposes.

• You have strong Python backend software engineering skills
• You have experience of building FastAPIs
• You have a good knowledge of public cloud services; they're using Azure but experience with AWS or GCP is fine
• You have experience of working with data at scale and strong SQL skills
• You have a good understanding of IaC, Terraform experience preferred
• You're comfortable using AI and agentic ways of working to enhance the code you build
• You're commercially aware
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
