Job description
We are looking for a SaaS Asset Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team and establish a comprehensive asset management function across our business landscape. Your primary focus will be the operational management of our SaaS Management Platform to drive visibility, license optimization, and lifecycle automation. You will work closely with IT Operations to execute these processes while partnering with FP&A to transform utilization data into actionable insights for budgeting and cost control. Beyond asset management, you will also apply core IAM disciplines by configuring SSO and SCIM in Microsoft Entra ID and automating access reviews to ensure our SaaS landscape is not only financially efficient but also secure and compliant.
What you'll be doing:
- Establish and maintain a complete, real-time inventory of all SaaS applications via a dedicated SaaS Operations tool.
- Implement and manage authentication and authorization protocols, including SSO and SCIM through our central identity provider, Microsoft Entra ID, to safeguard all user access.
- Provide internal users with fast, secure access to their required applications based on requests and collaborations with business or application owners.
- Automate the end-to-end employee journey from onboarding and role changes to offboarding to ensure timely and appropriate access at every stage.
- Manage the integrity of SaaS financial data, ensuring accurate integrations with procurement and finance (ERP) systems.
- Oversee license utilization by monitoring usage data, automating the reclamation of unused licenses, and recommending consolidation of redundant applications (e.g., removing duplicate project management tools).
- Provide actionable data insights to stakeholders and business owners to enable credible forecasting and predictable budgeting, preventing "surprise" renewals.
- Automate and administer periodic Access Reviews and act as the point of contact for audit support (e.g., SOC 2), providing all necessary evidence on demand for systems in scope.
