Cloud Architect

We are looking for a Cloud Hosting Architect to lead the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of enterprise cloud and on-site hosting platforms. You will take ownership of architecture across Azure, ensuring critical business systems are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.

This is a hands-on architecture role with genuine influence, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping strategy as well as getting involved in delivery.

The role

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable hosting solutions on Azure (ideally with some AWS exposure)
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and site assessments
• Produce cloud architecture roadmaps and reference frameworks
• Embed InfoSec, SecOps, and data privacy principles into all designs
• Oversee solution delivery and work closely with engineers
• Produce clear technical documentation and reusable assets to support MVPs and POCs
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and internal security policies
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies across cloud, AI/ML, and information security

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure hosting and cloud technologies
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, Azure essential and AWS desirable
• Experience delivering cloud migrations or IT transformation programmes
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles
• Confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or Cyber Essentials Plus
