Job description
VIQU have partnered with a SaaS provider delivering a cloud-native platform used across higher education, conferencing, and accommodation environments. They are seeking a Lead Senior Engineer to combine hands-on technical delivery with team leadership, shaping architecture, driving engineering standards, and mentoring a high-performing development team. This role will play a key part in modernising practices, improving quality, and supporting the continued evolution of a scalable AWS-based platform., * Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable SaaS solutions.
- Contribute hands-on to development, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Drive best practice across code quality, testing, CI/CD, and system reliability.
- Mentor and manage engineers, supporting performance and career development.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve engineering processes, removing bottlenecks and enhancing delivery workflows.
- Design and implement distributed, event-driven solutions within an AWS environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
- Strong background in .NET/C# development within a cloud-based environment.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of AWS services and containerised deployments.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience developing scalable SaaS platforms is highly desirable.
