Enterprise Architect

This is a senior, enterprise-level role, acting as the Lead Technical Authority/Lead Architect, responsible for shaping, governing, and delivering a secure, organisation-wide architecture roadmap across a complex local authority environment.

The successful contractor will operate at strategic and enterprise scale, working closely with senior stakeholders to define architecture standards, governance, and long-term technology direction., * Act as Lead Technical Authority/Lead Architect for the programme.

• Work closely with the Programme Director and senior stakeholders.
• Lead the technical design authority function.
• Define and implement enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Translate organisational vision into a clear, deliverable technology roadmap.
• Oversee the secure design and rebuild of systems following a cyber incident.
• Provide strategic leadership across complex, multi-system environments.

• Proven experience operating at Enterprise Architect level within large, complex organisations.
• Strong background in network security and cyber security architecture.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide architecture governance and design authority functions.
• Ability to operate at strategic, cross-organisational level, engaging confidently with senior leadership.
• Experience delivering architecture across large-scale, diverse system landscapes and networks.

Public sector or local authority experience is desirable but not essential.
