Job description
The Lead Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company's and client systems' infrastructure on the AWS & Azure cloud platform using Terraform. Working closely with the Platform team, the role ensures the infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable. The ideal candidate has strong Cloud knowledge, experience working in a sensitive environment, and is willing to undergo (or already holds) UK security clearance. Knowledge of SQL Server and API development using Node.js or Python is beneficial., * Lead the design, build, and maintenance of the company's and client systems' infrastructure on the Cloud using Terraform
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable
- Work closely with the Platform team to identify and solve infrastructure issues
- Provide guidance and best practices for using cloud services
- Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases
- Develop and maintain APIs using Node.js or Python (if applicable)
- Travel to client sites in the UK and overseas as required

Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Strong understanding of AWS/Azure services
- Currently hold or be eligible/willing to undergo UK security clearance
- Expert Proficiency in Terraform
- Knowledge of SQL Server and SQL
- Experience with API development using Node.js or Python (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with Windows administration
- Expert Knowledge in Linux/Unix systems
- Expert knowledge in Identity based systems
- Experience with cloud security best practices
- Expert knowledge in troubleshooting and diagnosing platform issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, * Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer) is a plus
