How you'll make an impact

• Kubernetes orchestration: You will be responsible for setting up, operating and optimising our Kubernetes clusters using Rancher and AWS EKS in accordance with current best practices.
• CI/CD & automation: You will develop and maintain efficient Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines. In doing so, you will ensure that our build and deployment processes run smoothly.
• Container Management: You will create and optimise Docker images and implement vulnerability management strategies to ensure the security of our container landscape.
• GitOps & Deployment: You will implement and maintain ArgoCD for automated deployments and use Helm Charts to standardise our application releases.
• Migration & Modernisation: You will lead the migration of existing Docker Compose deployments to scalable Kubernetes environments and support the modernisation of our architecture.
• Database infrastructure: You will manage cloud databases (AWS RDS) with a focus on PostgreSQL and MariaDB and ensure their performance and high availability.
• Interface function: You will explain complex technical processes and infrastructure decisions in a way that is understandable and comprehensible to business stakeholders., * Personal development matters to us - we actively support your professional growth

Do you have experience in PostgreSQL?, * A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field,

• 6 years+ of professional experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Kubernetes expert: In-depth knowledge of Rancher and AWS EKS as well as experience with Helm and ArgoCD.
• Pipeline professional: Confident use of Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines, as well as in-depth experience in building and securing Docker images.
• Cloud networking: A very good understanding of networking concepts in the cloud (VPC, subnets, load balancing, ingress controllers).
• Database expertise: Practical experience with AWS RDS, particularly in the administration of PostgreSQL and MariaDB.
• Communication: The ability to present technical concepts in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and to proactively engage in dialogue with specialist departments.
• Fluency in English is a must, knowledge of German is an advantage.
