Job description

Join our global IT organization as a Clinical Trial Supply System Engineer, where you will collaborate with the Drug Development Departments for chemical and biological entities. Your primary focus will be on managing and advancing systems that support the clinical trial supply process.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional product team to develop and maintain solutions that drive business success.
  • Ensure the operational excellence of systems and applications, maintaining compliance with Boehringer Ingelheim and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the technical advancement of our clinical trial supply system landscape.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between business needs and IT solutions, utilizing your expertise in systems and interfaces.
  • Contribute to the development and further advancement of software concepts and projects, driving innovation and sharing technical knowledge.
  • Take full responsibility for process and system maintenance, ensuring compliance throughout their lifecycle.
  • Design and implement product architectures, guiding projects from planning to launch for smooth transitions.
  • Drive the complete software lifecycle, including documentation, patching, updates, and access controls, as well as coordinate with IT, business units, and external partners for seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Solve incidents, problems, and execute system changes, and work with IT infrastructure teams on system migrations, replacements, or retirements, including legacy systems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in ServiceNow?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * You have min. a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, along with solid experience in IT (at least 6 years of professional experience).

  • Must have demonstrated understanding and experience with Infrastructure topics such as databases, servers, cloud systems, networking, interfaces and development up to containerization.
  • Proficiency in at least 3 of the following technologies/platforms:

OpenShift, Bitbucket, JIRA/Confluence, Jenkins, AWS, Python, TypeScript, ServiceNow, APIs.

  • strong communication and presentation skills in English
  • Your proven track record of understanding of system lifecycle and documentation requirements in GxP environments (GxP) will give you an edge in this role.
