Job description
The Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer is responsible for the hands-on security, administration, optimization, and compliance of PFSCM's cloud platforms and IT infrastructure and reporting to the Manager Cloud & Infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all cloud and infrastructure services, as well as supporting, maintaining, and enhancing platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, Entra ID, and Enterprise Applications. The engineer will work closely with the Manager Cloud & Infrastructure and the broader IT team to ensure robust, secure, and scalable technology environments that align with PFSCM's business needs and support operational excellence.
Specific responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Administer, support, and optimize all cloud platforms and IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, and proactive maintenance for cloud services, networks, servers, and endpoints.
- Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between cloud products and business systems.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for cloud and infrastructure services.
- Support the planning and delivery of cloud and infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Participate in continuous improvement and change management initiatives to enhance technology capabilities.
IT Operations & Support
- Provide day-to-day IT operations, 2nd and 3rd line support, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and service requests of PFSCM's IT Cloud and Infrastructure environment.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Monitor and report on service delivery metrics, contributing to continuous improvement in IT support and user satisfaction.
Security & Compliance
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and best practices across all cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.
- Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and coordinate incident response activities.
- Develop and enforce policies for identity and access management, least privilege, multi-factor authentication, and privileged account monitoring.
- Ensure all systems adhere to security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001), and support audit activities as needed.
- Implement and monitor data protection, device security, and user access controls across all platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes relevant to cloud and infrastructure security.
Requirements
- Professional and Technical Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud management, with hands-on experience in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, Entra ID, or similar platforms.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud architecture, identity management, device management, and IT operations.
- Experience with automation, monitoring, and IT service management tools.
- Demonstrated experience with security frameworks, incident response, and security operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in international organizations and regulatory compliance is an advantage.

- Fluency in English is required; other languages (e.g., Dutch) are a plus.
