Job description
Knovia is modernising its technology ecosystem to deliver connected, intelligent, end-to-end business processes., We are seeking an experienced Integration & Automation Specialist to lead the design and delivery of system integrations and workflow automation using Workato and other middleware technologies. This role is critical to transforming how data flows across the organisation enabling real-time operations, streamlining processes, and forming the backbone of our AI-ready architecture.
You will architect integrations, design APIs, build automations, and enhance interoperability across CRM, LMS, ERP, HRIS, finance platforms, and custom systems., * Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions enabling reliable, high-performance system communication
- Build integrations using Workato, APIs, webhooks, and middleware patterns
- Develop and maintain APIs, message queues, event streams, and transformation pipelines
Intelligent Automation Delivery
- Deliver automated workflows modernising end-to-end processes across operations, finance, compliance, commercial, and learner services
- Translate business requirements into rule-based, event-driven, and AI-enabled workflows
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration artefacts (including automated testing and rollback)
- Automate monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or cloud-native equivalents)
Data Flow & Platform Enablement
- Own and evolve the integration platform to ensure stability, scalability, and security
- Design event-driven architectures supporting real-time operational intelligence
- Evaluate and recommend tooling and SaaS connectors aligned to strategy
- Manage platform SLAs, capacity planning, licensing, and vendor relationships
Governance, Quality & Security
- Establish integration governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Implement logging, monitoring, and exception-handling frameworks
- Ensure GDPR compliance and alignment with internal data governance, To promote and maintain an inclusive working environment, as part of your application process we will ask you to share data on certain characteristics. Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, If you're passionate about designing connected systems and enabling intelligent automation at scale, we'd love to hear from you., What we need from you:
. Minimum 3 years' experience building integrations or automation in a cloud environment
. Hands-on experience with Workato or similar (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Zapier, Power Automate)
. Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, JSON, and webhook patterns
. Experience integrating CRM, ERP, HRIS, LMS, finance, and proprietary systems
. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and middleware patterns
. Strong systems thinking and ability to optimise end-to-end processes
. Ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable integrations
. Comfortable working with low-code tools and scripting
