Job description
My client are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to build, automate, and support secure, scalable cloud platforms within complex enterprise and regulated environments. You will work within a cloud-first team delivering highly automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting modern DevOps and GitOps delivery models. This role requires strong hands-on experience across AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines., * Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, zero-touch deployments
- Support containerised workloads using Kubernetes
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Amazon EKS
- Implement cloud security best practices across IAM, networking, encryption, and governance controls
- Support migration of applications and infrastructure from on-premise to AWSMonitor platform performance, availability, and cost optimisation
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to deliver secure and resilient cloud solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- Proven experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience working with Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab preferred but tooling-agnostic mindset)
- Strong understanding of AWS networking and security principles
- Experience supporting cloud environments in regulated or enterprise settings
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud or migration projects
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
