Job description
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Test Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected engineering business based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Test Engineer who enjoys fault finding, structured testing, and working closely with production and R&D teams in a busy manufacturing environment., As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating, verifying, and recording test data across a wide range of PCBAs, embedded systems, and finished products., * Executing formal test procedures to ensure products meet specification
- Component-level fault finding, diagnosis, and repair
- Producing detailed fault reports to support continuous improvement
- Maintaining accurate test records in line with ISO 9001
- Creating and operating ATE programs
- Supporting new product introduction and defining production test requirements
- Working closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve build quality
This is a varied and technical role where you will develop a deep understanding of the company's products and systems while contributing directly to quality and performance improvements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in ISO 9001?, * HNC, HND, ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in test within a manufacturing or R&D environment
- Strong experience with test methodologies, diagnostic tools, and automated test equipment
- RF and microwave testing experience desirable
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC standards
