Software Developer in Test - Edinburgh

In this role, you will:

• Work as part of a small team of SDET specialists to ensure test plans are understood, integrated, delivered, and automated where possible
• Coordinate and manage test schedules across workstreams
• Build and maintain testing artefacts, looking ahead to identify opportunities/blockers and ensuring team decisions align to overall strategy
• Identify operational improvements and help ensure a stable service that can be enhanced iteratively
• Anticipate and mitigate project challenges or risks
• Work with and support third parties providing testing services
• Create test frameworks and automation tests for in-house applications and support release assurance for the team

• Best-practice test approaches
• Test automation in CI/CD pipelines (specifically GitHub Actions)
• Selenium/WebDriver test automation
• Java and JavaScript
• BDD tooling (Gherkin/Cucumber)
• Confident working in Linux-based environments
• AWS environment experience
• Database experience in 2+ of the following: MariaDB/Oracle/MySQL/AWS Aurora
• 2+ years (within the past 5 years) of MySQL Scripting
