Team Organization and Planning:

  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional transition teams, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities, deliverables, and accountability.
  • Plan team workload, manage resource forecasting, and ensure the right skills and capability are aligned to each stage of the transition.
  • Monitor progress closely, proactively removing blockers and ensuring delivery momentum across internal teams, third parties, and customer workstreams.

Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Provide clear, structured, and timely reporting to senior leadership, engineering management, and customer stakeholders, covering progress, risks, issues, service acceptance readiness, and financial performance.

  • Maintain strong communication channels with all parties including SCC account teams, internal service providers, third-party partners, and customer representatives

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks and issues associated with transition and transformation activity, ensuring contingency planning and controlled change management at every stage.
  • Use analytical problem-solving to anticipate threats to delivery and apply structured approaches to resolving dependencies and operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, security clearance, and employment law requirements (including TUPE where applicable).

Quality Assurance:

  • Champion quality, accuracy, and high-standards across all transition outputs, ensuring all documentation, deliverables, and service acceptance criteria fully support a smooth handover to operational BAU teams.
  • Conduct formal reviews, embedded quality gates, and retrospectives to identify service optimisation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all services entering BAU are operationally ready, commercially aligned, technically sound, and fully compliant with SCC and customer requirements.

  • Act as the primary customer interface throughout transition delivery, building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure customer expectations are understood, managed, and met, driving transparency and confidence throughout the transition.
  • Address customer concerns with urgency and professionalism, ensuring actions are resolved efficiently and communication remains open and proactive.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the continual development of SCC's Transition Management frameworks, tools, processes, and best practices.
