Job description

We offer a remote work model with occasional visits to the office for team events, training, and business trips - typically once per month., Bingel is the adaptive all-round platform for primary education where teachers and pupils are central. Bingel assists the teacher in achieving his or her main goal: getting the best learning outcomes for each pupil. Its different modules support the teacher not only by offering the best quality teaching materials, but also by offering a range of time-saving solutions on planning, preparing, coaching and assessing. Pupils in Belgium, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands love Bingel as their gamified learning platform for every-day use. Their personal avatar joins them while they're learning and adapted practicing, with which they earn virtual money that can be used for buying avatar accessories or games., We're looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join our Scrum team. You will help us build and improve the most innovative and engaging educational applications.

You develop new functionalities, solve problems, and analyze more complex issues. By creating proofs of concept (PoCs), you help the team make technical decisions where necessary. You contribute to resolving support tickets and perform minor operational tasks. There is also a rotating role in which someone is responsible for monitoring the applications and checking logs. You never lose sight of quality and motivate your team members to do the same.

Requirements

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience English proficiency: B2/C1 (written and spoken) Spanish proficiency: C1/C2 (written and spoken) 6+ years of experience in programming in Java (11 or higher) Experience in working with Amazon Web Services (EC2, CloudFormation, S3, CloudFront, Elasticache, Lambdas); Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Good knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

Advanced knowledge of Maven, REST, Spring Advanced knowledge of Git
