This job is for you if, as a Senior Solution Engineer, you thrive at the intersection of technology and business value, working closely with enterprise customers and internal teams to define, design, and deliver tailored data protection solutions.
Your day will involve engaging with customer stakeholders from C- level executives to technical teams to uncover critical requirements, demonstrate Protegrity's value, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives. You'll architect secure, scalable solutions that align with customer goals while serving as their trusted technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle.
In this role, you'll collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services, contribute to technical strategy, and mentor peers all while navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement. Your success will be shaped by your ability to listen deeply, communicate clearly, and apply a structured, consultative approach to solving complex data protection challenges., * Conduct in-depth discovery, data-flow mapping, and documentation of customer environments (on-site or remotely).
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. C-level executives, developers, DBAs, IT security).
- Lead and manage Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and participate in RFI/RFP responses.
- Architect, install, and configure Protegrity's software solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Write detailed solution design and project planning documents using standardized formats.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams, partners, and professional services to align on customer outcomes.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to other Solution Engineers and Services personnel.
- Regularly leverage cloud labs (AWS, Azure, GCP) to validate capabilities and support customer scenarios.
- Commit to continuous learning through certifications, hands-on lab work, and staying current on data privacy and cybersecurity trends.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and other presales applications.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software deployment?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience (e.g., 4+ years in a similar technical role).
- 8+ years of experience in technical solution engineering, consulting, or presales roles within data, security/privacy, or adjacent enterprise software domains.
- Demonstrated success leading technical engagements in complex enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid deployments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Experience working directly with customers, including C-level discussions and technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with a consultative mindset and business outcome orientation.
- Adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies, including GenAI, to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving technical landscape., * Expertise with data protection technologies such as encryption, tokenization, or dynamic data masking.
- Experience with large-scale data environments (e.g., Big Data, cloud-native data lakes, RDBMS).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise deployment of security platforms.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer).
- Background in mentoring junior team members or leading technical enablement sessions.
