Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Epos Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for our electronic point of sale (Epos) systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network connectivity, and ensuring seamless operation of Epos solutions across various retail environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT support, and experience working with diverse operating systems and network configurations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to the optimisation of our retail technology infrastructure., * Provide first-line technical support for Epos hardware and software issues via help desk or on-site visits
- Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems such as Windows and macOS, Android, including application errors in Microsoft Office and specialised Epos applications including ICRTouch
- Resolve network connectivity issues involving LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and wireless connections
- Assist with hardware maintenance, including desktops, peripherals, and computer hardware components
- Support remote access solutions using TeamViewer and ensure secure connectivity for users
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate complex problems.
- Maintain documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and system configurations accurately
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure optimal performance of Epos systems and associated network infrastructure
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with end-users and management.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks
- Proven experience in software troubleshooting across multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS & Android
- Familiarity with IT support practices including help desk operations and desktop support procedures
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Competence in supporting Microsoft Office applications and other common business software
- Experience with computer hardware maintenance and troubleshooting hardware-related issues
- Ability to work independently within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
