Job description
Azure Cloud Engineer | 3 Month Contract | Fully remote | OutsideIR35
Re architect an Azure environment into a secure, production grade, enterprise ready platform.
Core Responsibilities:
- Redesign Azure architecture for scale, reliability, and security.
- Implement HA, failover, DR, and BCP.
- Harden security: Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Private Endpoints, NSGs, WAF, DDoS.
- Set up audit logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics).
- Produce architecture docs + operational runbooks.
- Refactor/extend IaC (Terraform).
- Ensure reproducible environments and automated deployments across dev staging prod.
Required Experience
- 5+ years cloud engineering, incl. 2+ years at enterprise scale.
- Proven track record taking MVP production.
- Strong Azure expertise (App Services, AKS, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL).
- Strong Terraform + automation (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
- Experience with enterprise security, SLAs, SOC2/ISO27001 expectations.
- Experience supporting enterprise customer technical/security reviews.
- B2B SaaS scaling experience.

- Documented production grade Azure architecture.
- 99.9% uptime readiness.
- Full monitoring + alerting.
- Automated CI/CD.
- Enterprise audit ready security posture.
- Fully reproducible IaC.
