Job description
As a Junior AI Engineer at Futurice, you'll be part of our growing AI & Data team, helping build the intelligent applications and workflows that sit at the heart of our client work. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn by doing: building real demos, prototypes, and AI-powered applications alongside experienced engineers., * Develop AI-powered applications - Assist in building and deploying cloud-native machine learning and GenAI applications that solve real client problems across industries like media, retail, and automotive.
- Create end-to-end AI workflows - Work on knowledge management systems, RAG pipelines, chatbots, and agents that assist software delivery teams.
- Learn from experienced practitioners - Pair with senior AI engineers, participate in code reviews, and pick up best practices in a real-world consulting environment.
- Contribute to internal AI practices - Help shape how Futurice builds and delivers AI solutions, contributing to shared tools, frameworks, and knowledge.
- Learn how to engage with clients - We'd love for you to join client conversations, present your work and advise clients and we'll support you to get there!
Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, * Foundational Python skills - You can write clean, readable code, build things from scratch, and debug your way through problems.
- Awareness about GenAI and agentic tools - You've explored (or are excited to explore) modern AI libraries like Pinecone, HuggingFace, LangChain/LangSmith, or CrewAI, and you have some exposure to agentic architectures. Familiarity is great, real curiosity is what matters most.
- Some cloud exposure - You've touched at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), or you're ready to learn. We'll help you get up to speed.
- Strong communication and openness to client work - You can explain your thinking clearly, in writing and in conversation. You're interested in the consulting side of things and understand the business context behind what you're building.
- Builder mindset and comfort with ambiguity - You prototype, experiment, and ship things. You enjoy figuring things out even when there isn't a clear answer, and you bring a high level of autonomy and desire to learn.
- Curiosity over ego - You approach disagreement with empathy, learn from feedback, and care more about getting it right than being right.
- Bonus - Personal projects, hackathon experience, or coursework in AI/ML. We love the use of AI, just tell us how you use it!
