Job description
Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics. The Client Technology team serves as the front door to Marex's digital client experience. The team currently manages:
- Dashboard application: A central landing page for internal and external clients to access Marex product offerings.
- Insights platform: A subscription-based service providing clients with research articles published by Marex analysts.
- Internal client management system: A platform that helps business teams manage prospective and existing clients.
In this role, you will work closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams to identify, design, and deliver features that strengthen cross-selling capabilities and improve operational efficiency across the firm. Marex recognises the importance of digital services in delivering the best possible client experience. As a result, the technology team plays an increasingly critical role in the firm's evolution, enabling business growth and supporting the delivery of new products and services.
Role Summary

Responsibilities Role specific:
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality for internal and external facing applications.
- Build scalable, resilient and high-performance services that support multiple business streams across Marex.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and help shape platform standards, patterns and best practices.
- Ensure solutions are secure, observable and aligned with enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
- Participate actively in team discussions, technical brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving business demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for production systems where required, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Contribute to documentation and maintain clear technical artefacts to support long-term platform sustainability.

Requirements

Skills and Experience: Essential:
- Strong commercial experience in Typescript/JavaScript development.
- Good working knowledge of React and modern front-end development principles.
- Experience connecting with RESTful APIs and microservices in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, clean architecture, domain-driven
- design concepts).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of Node.js
- Working knowledge of C#/.net and not afraid to develop within the existing systems.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services (e.g. ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway). Experience implementing observability tooling (logging, monitoring, tracing).
- Financial services (advantageous but not essential).
