  • AI Engineer - Central Data and Reporting Office, As a Senior AI Engineer within the CDRO, you design, build, deploy and continuously improve production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. You translate advanced AI capabilities into scalable, reusable building blocks that enable rapid implementation of trustworthy, high-impact enterprise use cases.

You shape and influence KPMG NL's AI strategy by defining enterprise-wide AI engineering standards, governance, and patterns, combining deep technical engineering expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, ensuring solutions meet high standards for security, privacy, reliability, maintainability and governance. You also contribute to standards, documentation, and knowledge-sharing within the AI engineering community., * Develop retrieval, embedding, prompting and evaluation pipelines for enterprise use cases.

  • Integrate AI solutions with the Central Data Platform on Azure in line with governance and security standards.
  • Ensure reliability, quality and performance through CI/CD, testing and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering, governance and business stakeholders to deliver impactful AI products.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning or data science.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years professional experience working as an AI or machine learning engineer in an enterprise environment with 5+ previous experience in an architecture role..
  • Recognized go-to expert across at least two specialized AI engineering fields.
  • Strong Python development skills and strong grounding in software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing, security).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry tooling (e.g., PromptFlow, Model Catalog, Vector Index).
  • Ability to design, deploy and manage custom copilots / agentic solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot and/or Azure AI Agent Framework.

In addition, you bring broader experience with advanced AI engineering concepts such as multi-agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks and privacy-aware AI development. You are familiar with integrating AI solutions into enterprise data platforms and understand secure authentication and authorization patterns. Experience with cloud-native architectures, APIs and containerized environments further supports your ability to build scalable, secure and maintainable AI solutions.

  • Gross salary between €4,800 and €7,900 per month depending on your work experience, variable performance based reward, a fixed expense allowance and a fixed working from home allowance per working day.
