Job description

We are expanding our Global Corporate Information Security Team and looking forward to new colleagues and leaders joining us in Madrid. We are now looking for a Product Owner - Email Security (m/f/d), reporting to Head of Global Security Operations.

The Email Security Product Owner owns and leads the vision and strategy for our global email and collaboration platform security services, ensuring resilient protection for all Liebherr group.

The working location for this position will be in Madrid city where we are currently setting up a new office. We operate a hybrid model, requiring at least 40% of the working time on-site.

Creating passion: your responsibilities

Own and manage the enterprise email and collaboration security product roadmap, with Enterprise Email and Collaboration Platforms as the primary scope.

Act as the product owner and administrator of enterprise email and collaboration security platforms, including:

  • Configuration and ongoing management
  • Definition and maintenance of security controls
  • Creation, tuning, and optimisation of rules and policies

Define and implement:

  • Email and collaboration security best practices
  • Encryption and secure communication controls for internal and external messaging
  • Protection mechanisms against phishing, spoofing, and unauthorised information exposure

Translate Data Security domain requirements into concrete enterprise email and collaboration platform configurations and capabilities.

Ensure controls are effective, proportionate, and aligned with data classification and handling requirements, where applicable.

Work closely with:

  • Head of Data Security (policy and standards)
  • Data Security Engineers o Security Operations Center (incident handling, where applicable)
  • Head of Security Consulting to evaluate blueprints and security requirements of existing and new solutions

Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Support audits, risk assessments, and reviews by demonstrating control effectiveness and configuration posture.

Continuously improve email and collaboration security services based on incidents, threat trends, and evolving business needs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Project management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Following certificates are preferred: CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Security certifications.
  • English is a must; German and French are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise email and collaboration security principles, including threat protection, secure communication, and information protection mechanisms.
  • Hands-on knowledge of enterprise email and collaboration security platforms, including secure email gateways, anti-phishing controls, and email encryption capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Email Security Platforms (Proofpoint preferred), and other Microsoft 365 security features.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Liebherr sites worldwide up to 10% of the time.
