Technology Architect

The Core Network Engineer is the technical expert responsible for Design, Build and Architecture of the multiservice core and aggregation IP networks with the client. The main focus are: Creating high-level design, assisting with creating and reviewing low-level design, migration plan and the execution of those plans including implementing all network changes and service deployment on both existing networks or greenfield deployments, * Creation and validation of high-level design and migration plan

• Review and support the creation of low-level design and detailed migration plan
• Driving technology and capacity roadmap for Core Network
• Implement/deploy network solutions/services and execution of network changes according to the network engineering plans during nightly change windows
• Provide operational hand-over and support in troubleshooting of network problems
• Test and certify core network HW&SW
• Participating in POC with vendors
• Provide consultation in network solutions
• Perform third line support and on-call
• Participating in forecast exercise with planning department

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer /electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience
• One or more relevant certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, etc.
• 5+ years in similar role
• 10+ years working experience with complex network designs/architectures
• Proficiency in English both oral and written

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Deep understanding of networking protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, etc.
• Throughout knowledge of IPv4/v6 migration techniques, policy languages
• Solid understanding of security standards, rules and regulations including DDoS mitigation
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in Cisco/Juniper/Nokia routing/switching technologies
• Experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Knowledge of Cloud networking
• Knowledge of network scripting / automation (Python, …)
• Good Experience with Unix Systems
• Experience is reverse engineering and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform complex design analysis with a proven track record in problem solving
• Strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator
• Strong experience in documenting, writing Low Level Designs, guidelines, Visio Diagrams, …
• Good social skills and good communicator
• Great teammate
• Experience in multinational and multicultural environments.
