From concept, you will work within your team to design, develop, prototype and test products. This role is working with a close team of experienced and collaborative Mechanical Design Engineers. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager., * Development products from concept through to manufacture, both individually, or as a member of a project team using SolidWorks

• Work to required deliverables, ensuring design projects are on time and within budget
• Support prototyping by providing accurate data to the prototyping resources
• Support product/project reviews
• Ensure all products are thoroughly tested and meet regulatory requirements
• Work with other Designers, Implementation Engineers, departments, test labs, suppliers and contractors to ensure the successful project completion
• Adhere to design procedures and protocols, keeping electronic files
• Communicate project briefs to the design team
• Research projects thoroughly covering user needs, market requirements and technical requirements

• A minimum of 5 years Mechanical Design Experience
• Experience of designing and managing products from concept through development to full production
• A thorough understanding of manufacturing process including plastics and metal fabrication
• Strong concepting, visualization and problem solving skills
• Strong 3D design package experience such as SolidWorks
