Job description
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will provide high-quality technical support and project deployments across a UK-wide private healthcare network, ensuring that clinical and operational teams have secure, reliable access to systems essential for patient care. The postholder will maintain IT infrastructure, resolve incidents efficiently, deliver excellent customer service, and support technology improvements that enhance healthcare delivery., * Provide 1st, 2nd & 3rd line technical support across multiple UK sites, including remote assistance and scheduled on-site visits.
- Design infrastructure architecture
- Lead root cause analysis
- Act as a technical liaison with third-party suppliers, managed service providers, and system vendors to support incident resolution, service improvements, and project delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clinical teams, and external partners to coordinate infrastructure changes, integrations, and service enhancements, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Review and challenge supplier technical proposals and solutions to ensure alignment with organisational standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational needs.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals across clinical and non-clinical environments.
- Support electronic patient record (EPR) systems, medical devices requiring IT integration, and clinical workflow technology.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Essential
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise applications.
- Be able to run projects and work packages. Managing timescales, issues and risks and reporting updates to the project lead
- Ability to explain technical issues in clear, reassuring language to non-technical healthcare staff.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
- Strong customer service ethos with a calm, solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
- Able to understand and plan infrastructure architecture. Networks, servers etc.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, data security, and confidentiality in healthcare.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Technical background in IT - at least 4 years at a 2nd line level
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint management.
- Strong Networking knowledge
- Experience supporting and implementing networks, active directory, VPNs, and secure Wi-Fi environments.
- Experience delivering support in a multi-site organisation.
