As part of this transformation, we're expanding our Finance capability and are recruiting a Senior Manager - Finance Systems and Projects to play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and continuous improvement of Finance systems and Finance change initiatives across the organisation., The Senior Manager - Finance Systems and Projects is responsible for overseeing the operation, governance and continuous improvement of Serco's Finance systems and Finance change delivery within the Global Finance Services Hub.
Working closely with Finance leadership, Global Process Owners and Technology teams, you will translate Finance process priorities into practical systems and project delivery. The role ensures Finance platforms and system changes are delivered in a controlled, reliable and efficient way, supporting a stable and modern Finance operating model across the Group.
You will lead a team responsible for both Finance systems operations and Finance project delivery, ensuring strong governance, effective issue resolution and successful delivery of Finance initiatives across a complex global environment.
As part of this you'll: * Lead Finance systems operations and Finance project delivery within the GFS Hub
- Deliver Finance system enhancements, upgrades and automation initiatives aligned to the Finance transformation roadmap
- Ensure strong governance across system access, configuration and change management
- Oversee Finance project delivery from initiation through to implementation and transition into BAU
- Monitor system performance and manage incident trends, ensuring issues are resolved effectively
- Act as the senior escalation point for Finance systems and Finance project delivery
- Work closely with Finance, Technology and Global Process Owners to prioritise and deliver system improvements
- Provide clear reporting on delivery progress, risks and dependencies across Finance systems and projects
- Lead and develop a team of Finance systems and project professionals
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Experience leading Finance systems, Finance transformation or Finance change delivery within large organisations
- Strong understanding of Finance systems and enterprise platforms such as SAP or similar technologies
- Experience delivering system implementations, upgrades or automation initiatives
- Strong governance, risk and control mindset within Finance environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering projects across complex organisations
Desirable experience includes working within a Global Finance Services or shared services environment, experience managing relationships with system integrators or external delivery partners, and familiarity with modern Finance technology platforms and reporting tools.
