Job description

Guidant Global is supporting our client in hiring a highly skilled Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, deploy and optimise scalable, resilient Kubernetes-based solutions across modern cloud environments. This is an exciting, hands-on engineering role where you'll collaborate with DevOps, software development and security teams to ensure seamless deployment, management and monitoring of containerised applications.

If you're passionate about cloud-native engineering, automation and modern infrastructure design, this is an opportunity to make a major impact., Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery Monitor, analyse and optimise cluster performance, reliability, scalability and security Create and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests Implement service mesh solutions and ingress controllers Ensure high-availability, backup and disaster-recovery strategies for mission-critical workloads Work closely with developers to containerise applications and troubleshoot deployment issues Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform Stay ahead of Kubernetes ecosystem updates and recommend best-practice improvements

Top Skills & Experience (in order of priority)

Kubernetes - CKA certification highly desirable Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS or GCP) Container technologies (Docker, container runtimes, orchestration concepts) Monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) Strong understanding of networking fundamentals - DNS, load balancing, firewalls

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining Kubernetes environments Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud-native patterns Experience working with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment workflows Knowledge of containerisation concepts and best practices Familiarity with monitoring, alerting and performance-tuning of distributed systems Good understanding of networking principles as they relate to Kubernetes and cloud environments

Nice to Have

Experience with GitOps workflows and tools (ArgoCD, Flux) Knowledge of serverless technologies Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) Understanding of DevSecOps concepts and secure deployment practices
