Job description
In this role, you will shape SAP's Microsoft Platforms portfolio and support tens of thousands of customers running SAP solutions on Microsoft technologies. You will develop, maintain, and enhance the Microsoft SQL Server platform for both cloud and on-premise SAP customers-ensuring they benefit from the latest innovations in SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure.You will contribute to roadmap alignment, architectural decisions, and long-term planning.
A key part of your work will be integrating SAP products with the database and collaborating closely with engineering teams from both SAP and Microsoft, as well as with product management, to deliver new capabilities and improve existing features.
You will directly support customers throughout their software lifecycle and help ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.
In this collaborative environment, you will regularly work with cutting-edge, pre-release Microsoft technologies and help ensure the world runs better.
The role is based in St. Leon-Rot, Germany, and can also be filled on a part-time basis. We explicitly welcome diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Requirements
You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and bring several years of experience in database-related development - ideally including Microsoft SQL Server. You have proven programming skills in languages such as ABAP, C, C++, or similar, and you are familiar with the full software development lifecycle. You work with a strong focus on quality and customer value, reliably delivering results on time.
You communicate fluently in German and English and have demonstrated your ability to contribute successfully to projects or product areas with measurable customer impact
