Job description
Our platform is the one stop shop for our clients to be compliant with key regulations like EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, REMIT, MAS, HKMA and many more. As AI and automation become central to how we build and operate our software, we are looking for an AI Solution Engineer who takes ownership of this shift, building real systems that span our internal operations and our core regulatory reporting product used by financial institutions across Europe and beyond., Internal AI Tools & Automation
- Technical setup, operation, and scaling of OpenWebUI, including configuration, integration, and performance optimisation.
- Setup, orchestration, and further development of automation workflows; conception and production deployment of concrete automations and interfaces based on use cases.
- Continuous hardening and review of AI infrastructure; independent coordination with technical partners.
AI Development in the Regulatory Reporting Platform
- Ensure data quality for AI use cases and drive the conception, development, and continuous improvement of AI features in the Regulatory Reporting Platform.
- Design and implement AI agents integrated with the product API: explain rejected trades, identify data issues, propose corrections, and execute batch fixes with human-in-the-loop confirmation.
- Support deployment for multi-tenant and dedicated customer instances; independent coordination with technical partners on product AI topics.
AI Infrastructure, Security & Architecture
- Own the AI stack in production: prompt design and versioning, model selection and upgrades, performance evaluation, cost and token usage monitoring.
- Deploy and operate local LLM infrastructure (e.g. Ollama, vLLM) where required; evaluate cost vs. performance trade-offs between cloud and local inference.
- Ensure secure handling of sensitive banking data including customer data isolation, API security, and protection against prompt injection risks; participate in security hardening and architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Solid software engineering background with several years of hands-on experience, including at least 3 years focused on AI/ML application development.
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, agents, and automation pipelines in production; familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), RAG architectures, and agent orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python, TypeScript, or Go; experience with REST/gRPC APIs, workflow automation tools (e.g. n8n, Airflow), and containerised infrastructure (Docker).
- Understanding of secure data handling, tenant isolation, and API security in SaaS environments; experience in regulated or security-sensitive industries is a strong plus.
- High degree of autonomy and a builder mentality: you move from prototype to production quickly and take full ownership of reliability.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with vector databases (e.g. Qdrant, Pinecone, pgvector), local LLM deployment (e.g. Ollama, vLLM), or document intelligence pipelines.
- Background in finance, compliance, or other regulated SaaS environments.
Frontend basics (React, internal dashboards) or experience building chat/Teams integrations, For this position (Full-time, 38.5h), we offer a gross annual salary starting at EUR 70,000,- according to the valid IT collective agreement, with willingness to overpay based on qualifications and professional experience.
