As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) in the AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) department, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of modern desktop and web applications that directly support the integration and testing of satellites. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements, implement tailored solutions, and continuously improve software quality through practices such as unit testing and code reviews. Your Tasks
- Design and development of desktop and web applications to support and optimize AIT team workflows
- Analysis, specification, and implementation of technical requirements in close cooperation with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Providing user support and assistance regarding developed tools
- High willingness to learn and explore new technologies and methodologies
- Active contribution to improving code quality through:
- Unit testing
- Code reviews
Requirements
Must have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Solid experience with C# and the .NET Framework
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL)
- Confident in using version control systems such as Git and/or SVN
- Familiarity with modern web technologies and architectures
- Ability to quickly and independently learn new tools and domains
- A structured and self-directed approach to work
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong communication skills in English are required; additional proficiency in German is appreciated
Nice to Have:
- Experience with TM/TC (Telemetry and Telecommand) in the space domain
- Knowledge of the following technologies:
- ASP.NET
- PHP
- HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
- JavaScript, jQuery
- Python
